
The World Solar Challenge is truly a unique adventure, with teams from all over the world preparing their solar powered vehicles to undertake the 3000km journey from tropical Darwin in the Northern Territory to Adelaide in South Australia.
Entries are now closed for 2007, but you can register your interest to be amongst the first to know when the 2009 competition is announced. Planned for the third week in October 2009, the time is right to take the first step to be part of it.
People with apparent no experience in this field can also participate if they have strong love for science and willing to learn more. Students from standard VII to Under Graduation are only eligible for the participation, with 30% reserved for female entrants.
The OSIR currently planned to sponsor boarding and lodging for all participants at our R&D centers. Two-way travel expenses will be sponsored to 6 deserving candidates, One-way return ticket for 11 candidates and ready to accommodate upto 5 additional self travel sponsored candidates.
Our Science City is meeting the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations in development of the energy efficient towns and cities. The company is dedicated in facilitating recycling and reuse. The recycling system employed at Science City allows end-of-life products to be recycled as new products.
